Top 15 Finish for Martin At Iowa:
Looks Ahead to Kansas
Newton, IA: Hal 'the Ragin' Cajun' Martin driver of the #76 Ford with Lorz Motorsports raced the ASA Late Model Championship Series Race this weekend at Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa.
Martin knew from the beginning there was something not right with the car, qualifying 15th. He and his crew worked together to get things headed in the right direction for the team. They were unable to do so and after the 15th place finish the crew determined the culprit was possibly a shock going bad.
"It is just one of those things that happens in racing. I really enjoyed being able to race for Lorz Motorsports this season. Everyone there has been great to work with. They are really a top notch team," said Martin.
Martin is looking forward to getting back on the track Thursday, October 1st in the #4 Cunningham Dodge for his third ARCA RE/MAX Series race this season. Martin was able to make it to the open practice last weekend and finished 3rd.
"We are very excited to run another ARCA race this season. We have a great car and we should do well," said Martin.
Martin's last ARCA race was at Chicagoland where he really put on a show coming from 39th to finish 3rd.
